Top 5 Weekend Countdown

Ok, so here is my crazy weekend/vacation in a nutshell with the top 5 most exciting events (or at least the ones that stuck out the most).

5. My Grandpa turned 70! Ok, so it doesn’t sound very exciting, but I can tell you he was! It was great to get to spend some time with him and the rest of my family. I hadn’t realized how much I actually missed them! Especially my sister Continue reading ‘Top 5 Weekend Countdown’

Lucy-Do

Lucy got her hair cut on Friday. They did it wrong. Now she looks like a boy. I will take a picture of her soon and post it. Last time I took her to the same place, and they cut an inch off of her hair. This time, I took her in and the girl asked me, “Just an inch again, right?” So, of course I say yes, thinking they are going to take an inch off. She was super shaggy Continue reading ‘Lucy-Do’

Amazing

You paint a picture on the wall
Cause you got a lot to tell me
but you don’t think you can say it better
You’re bringing up the times I can’t recall
and I’m sure they make your point but
I just can’t seem to remember, yeah

I know you got the feeling and I can’t say I’m agreeing
with your topic of conversation
So just listen to the reasons and they hints I’ve been giving
to the thoughts of my imagination Continue reading ‘Amazing’

Normality

Do you ever feel like you just go by unnoticed? That’s how it’s been for me for the last few days. Work is usually a blurr, I manage just to get by. I’ve been showing up later that I usually do, but no one seems to notice. I’ve been keeping to myself a lot lately, too. Continue reading ‘Normality’

Top 10 | On My Mind.

1. My Head. Lately, my head has been feeling like it is going to explode. Not sure what exactly is going on, seeing that I hardly ever get headaches. It usually seems to peak about 3 or 4 in the afternoon and die down soon after dinner. Drugs aren’t really helping, but I hope it goes away soon.

2. My Book. On the up side, my book is getting really good. It’s called The Pact. It’s a great mystery/thought provoking book. Check it out sometime. I’m really like the way it is written. I might check out another one of her books when I’m done.

3. My Grandpa’s Birthday. We leave in just over a week for my grandpa’s birthday. He still has no clue that we are coming up. I can’t wait to see him and my grandma. I haven’t seen either of them since my wedding and I miss them. Continue reading ‘Top 10 | On My Mind.’

Those Eyes | The Man in the Darkness

* * * * *

She walks across the room feeling nervous. She doesn’t know what to think, to know what was coming. She doesn’t expect them to call her. But when it comes, she knows something isn’t right. After all, everything is fulfilled, done the way it is supposed to… Isn’t it? Now she was back to spiraling, back to worrying. She hates the feeling. She wants to make it go away, do something, anything to feel anything but this. Could she turn around and run? She still has time. No, that will just make things worse. As if things weren’t already bad enough. What has happened that she had been so oblivious to? Had she said something? Done something?

It was both of these. It is merely fate, she thinks. She knows what must be done. Continue reading ‘Those Eyes | The Man in the Darkness’

Home Sweet Home

This weekend, Darren and I completely worked over our house. Since getting married, we haven’t really done a whole lot in getting the place to look like home, other than finding a spot to put all of our wedding gifts and hanging up three pictures in the livingroom. We finally moved the futon into our spare bedroom and are weaning Lucy out of it. It actually is starting to look like a spare bedroom now. We also took the corner peice out of our sectional and it helped to open up the living room a ton. I hated the way it was blocked off, but now there is tons of room and I love it. Games, work and parties

We finally setup and tried out the XBOX last night. We played a game called ‘Fusion Frenzy.’ Actually really fun. Bryce and Leah came over, so we played four player. It made it fun. We attempted to play ‘Puerto Rico’ but it was to complicated to learn in a short amount of time. I think Darren and I are going to try to teach ourselves first, and then teach everyone else how to play. It kinda sucks, though, because its for 3-5 player, so we have to wait for other people to come play it with us.

We’re having car trouble again. Mine is completely out of commission, but now it looks Continue reading ‘Games, work and parties’
