November Adventures

The season has begun! Already done with Thanksgiving, and we’re on our way to Christmas.

I guess I should catch up since I’ve missed most of November. The middle of November, D had a conference in Denver, so I took a 4-day weekend and decided to go with him. I visited the Art Institute of Colorado and finished the application process. If I’m accepted and everything works out, I hope to start classes up there in August 2007. I am so excited! I have wanted to go back to school for quite a while, and to do what I love, I can’t wait! I also did a lot of shopping that weekend. I did some Christmas shopping, and since we found out that my sister is having Continue reading ‘November Adventures’

Girls Night

Nina and I decided last week to have a girls night. We planned it for last night, and it turned out to be a blast. We went and had pedicures which was so fun. I hadn’t had one since my wedding, and she hadn’t either. It was fun to watch her squirm since her feet are so ticklish. After we Nina and I painted our toes neon green and neon orange, respectively, we decided ice cream was in order. We headed over to cold stone. I was so excited! They had their pumpkin flavor! Of course I got the pumpkin with ghrahm cracker crust mix-in, so it tasted like pumpkin pie! We took the ice cream home with us so we could watch some Charmed and MXC.

It was a great night, and much needed girl time. We decided that we now have a minimum of 1 girl night a month! We both needed it!

Hobbies & Getaways

This weekend was actually pretty relaxing. Darren and I had a date on Friday night. We went out for pizza and a movie. It was fun. We hadn’t done anything like it in quite a while and I was glad we did.

Saturday morning was good. I got up early, worked out, ran some errands. I went with Darren to get his hair cut that afternoon. It seemed like a slow day for them. No one else was in there, so one of the barbers cut Darren’s hair, and the other one sat down to talk to me. Funny part was that at about the same time the barber cutting his hair asked him – ‘Is that your Continue reading ‘Hobbies & Getaways’

Crazy weeks, boring weekends…

This week has been especially crazy. We are in the peak of our busy season at work. Everyone is making the mad dash for gift cards before the holiday season. I feel like we are a bunch of chickens running around with our heads chopped off. Soon enough, it will slow down. Not to mention, we’ll have a nice break for Thanksgiving. I love four day weekends! Not to mention the pumpkin pie… Continue reading ‘Crazy weeks, boring weekends…’
