End Chapter 126, Begin Chapter 127

As I’m closing this chapter in my life, it feels almost sureal. Today is my last day actually working in an office. Never again will I get stuck at a job working behind a desk (or at least I hope…if I do, it means I suck as a photographer!). It’s a bittersweet move. I enjoy my life here in Durango, I like my job, the people I work with. Mostly, I love the friends I’ve made and the atmosphere of the town life. I’m ready for a change, though. As our moving day gets closer Continue reading ‘End Chapter 126, Begin Chapter 127′

Office Crabbiness

D is getting very exciting for the move. We have done a lot of packing over the weekend. This weekend will consist of even more, but will be a busy weekend since D’s brother, Bryce will be graduating from High School. It makes even me feel old that when D’s brother (who is 7 1/2 years his junior) is finally graduating from high school. It will be busy, but by the end of the weekend, we hope to have almost nothing in our house. Basically, we’ll be camping! Well, we aren’t taking our bed down until it gets moved into the truck next Thursday. Other than that, however, we are hoping to be living out of suitcases.

It is finally my last full week in an office – probably Continue reading ‘Office Crabbiness’

Surprises & Emptiness

Our house is looking quite empty these days. We sold our dining room table and chairs and got rid of our futon. We have very little furniture now. We’re using a card table and lawn chairs to eat. We are making quite the dent in the packing. With each day that more packing gets done, I’m getting more an more excited for this move. I’m down to less than 2 weeks left at work – at least in this office. It’s kind of weird to know that these are the last days I’ll ever work in an office again. When we move, I’ll be working remotely from home, which will be a nice change. Lucy will be much happier with someone around the house with her more often. Especially now that it will be a smaller area for her to run around in.

We had our going away party on Saturday night. I do have Continue reading ‘Surprises & Emptiness’

YTD Review

It’s been a while. A long while. It got really busy at work – we had 3 poeple leave our department, but somehow, the load didn’t change. So we had 4 poeple doing 8 poeple’s work. It was nuts. It hasn’t seemed to slow down at all, but we finally did get several people hired this week! Help is on the way!

So much has happened in the last few months, I sense that this may be a long post… I guess I should start at the beginning.

February: My birthday was Continue reading ‘YTD Review’
