FINALS ARE OVER!!!! (can you tell I’m excited?!?) Now it’s time for a vacation…
Tomorrow, D and I will get up at the butt crack of dawn to catch a plane headed for Alaska. I’m getting really excited!
So excited, in fact, that I went out today and bought an expensive wide angle lens that I will promptly return the day after we return. I can’t afford it, but I sure want one for the trip!! It’s a really nice one, too, so I’m really sad I can’t keep it.
We’ve just about finished packing and are about to head out to drop off Lucy at the ‘dog-sitter’ for the week. She’ll probably wonder what the heck happened, but I’m sure she’ll be fine.
I’m going to try to post some pictures and daily experiences in Alaska, but I’ll probably only do it on my travel blog: mytravelingeyes.blogspot.com (hey, I gotta keep my blogging fair.)
I suppose I should leave some time for sleep, though I’m sure that I won’t be able to sleep a wink tonight. I’m too excited about the trip, plus, I love flying. So, any trip I take involving flying, the night before always creeps by. If I do sleep, I’ll wake up about every 20-30 mintues to check the clock. Sub-consciencously.
We shall see what the great state of Alaska has to offer…
