Wow. Almost another year gone by already. Hard to believe, but yet, here we are, another year older — but perhaps, not much wiser. Here is a list of tips I’ve learned in the last month and a half:
1. Holiday Cooking. When the in-laws come to visit you in your tiny apartment over Thanksgiving, it’s much smarter to make a reservation than to cook yourself. Also, Boston Market is a life saver.
2. Finals eat your soul. But don’t let them intimidate you too much. They aren’t as bad as they seem. Except that presentation you had to give that determined weather or not you moved on to portfolio classes? Yes, that WAS as intimidating as it was made out to be. But at least you passed!
3.
Cold Weather. Dana and I attempted to continue our training for the BoulderBoulder, however, the weather gods had other plans. When you go running outside and it’s 7 degrees with a wind chill of -12 degrees, it’s time to get a gym pass.
4. Redbox. A newfound love has developed with the contraption. $1 a night for a new release? Count me in.
5. Wrapping. Presents just don’t get any less fun to wrap…multiple times.
6. Tripods and Lensbabies. Yes, they are just as much fun as you thought they were. And even better when you get them for Christmas!
7. Board games. LOVE getting new ones… Don’t love spending 15 hours learning to play it, and $10 on storage containers to keep all the pieces in, only to decide to pay someone el
se to learn it and then teach it to you because you still don’t understand.
8. Liqour. Johnny Walker Black Label is a GREAT gift to give your husband for Christmas. So is a TJ-Maxx gift card. They secretly crave it.
9.Movies. A Flip Mino is a great invention. Just check my Facebook.
10. Cute Shoes. They may be cute, they may make you tall, and you may want to wear them all the time, but that does NOT make them walking shoes. So don’t walk a mile in them in 18 degree weather. Especially because they are peep-toe shoes.
